Boston Pizza

Community Relations Coordinator

Marketing five service areas, designing promotional materials, and building community partnerships that made the brand feel local.

As Community Relations Coordinator at Boston Pizza, I marketed the franchise's five key service areas - dine-in, take-out, delivery, catering, and sports bar. I produced a variety of digital and print resources including posters, advertisements, menu designs, and product photography, all aimed at upholding and enhancing the Boston Pizza brand. Beyond design, I built relationships with restaurant staff and connected with local businesses through event sponsorships that drove awareness and customer engagement.

Before

A strong brand with disconnected service areas and ad hoc community presence

  • Boston Pizza had five distinct revenue channels - dine-in, take-out, delivery, catering, and sports bar - but the marketing treated them as a single entity. Slow hours went under-promoted, community partnerships were inconsistent, and in-store signage didn't drive incremental sales for specific service areas.
  • Staff didn't have clear materials to communicate special offers. Community event sponsorship had no supporting collateral to maximize visibility. The brand showed up, but without a coordinated marketing effort behind it.

After

Coordinated marketing materials, community programs, and a more connected in-store experience

01

In-Store Signage and Promotional Materials

Designed and implemented dynamic in-store signage promoting all 5 service areas with targeted offers during slower business hours. Produced posters, menu designs, and product photography to give every channel clear, compelling collateral.

02

Local Community Discount Card Program

Launched a community discount card initiative to drive customer loyalty and repeat visits through exclusive offers, giving local patrons a tangible reason to choose Boston Pizza over competitors.

03

Late-Night and Kids Menu Sleeves

Created enticing late-night menu sleeves showcasing after-hours offerings and a fun interactive kids menu sleeve with engaging activities. Each piece designed to drive specific behavior for its target audience.

04

Event Posters and Community Sponsorships

Designed vibrant event posters promoting Boston Pizza's local participation. Built relationships with local businesses and represented the franchise at community events through corporate sponsorships that raised brand awareness.

05

Tri-Fold Brochure and Business Cards

Developed a visually appealing tri-fold brochure highlighting all five service areas and promotions. Designed eye-catching business cards to enhance brand visibility and make customer connections more memorable.

06

Staff Collaboration and In-Store Consistency

Built strong relationships with restaurant staff through open communication, ensuring the team had the tools and motivation to deliver on what the marketing materials promised. The result was a seamless connection between promotion and customer experience.

The outcome

Every service area had dedicated marketing materials, community partnerships were generating real foot traffic, and the in-store experience matched what the promotions promised.
